ACTOR
Trained in classical theatre and grounded in character-driven, truthful performance, Jamairais Hendy brings depth, discipline, and clarity to every role.

Jamairais is a proud alumna of the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where she graduated as a Theatre major and studied under the late, legendary Vera J. Katz, whose influence emphasized discipline, professionalism, and respect for the craft.

Jamairais received her BFA in Acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she developed a strong foundation in classical and contemporary performance, scene study, and ensemble work.

At Rutgers she studied the Meisner Technique under the guidance of Barbara Marchant, David Newer, and Karen Chamberlain of the Bill Esper Studio, strengthening her ability to work truthfully, responsively, and moment-to-moment.

Jamairais trained in classical theatre in London, England and appeared as Imogen in Cymbeline at the Shakespeare's Globe, under the direction of Mike Alfreds. This experience sharpened her classical text work, vocal clarity, and physical storytelling within Shakespeare’s original performance tradition

Jamairais appeared onstage at Arena Stage, one of the nation’s leading regional theatres, performing in Ruined. Her work there reflects a commitment to grounded, emotionally honest storytelling within a professional ensemble environment.
